A goalkeeping quandary
The Syli Nationale all of the sudden of a big question mark at goalie. Long time keeper and anchor at the back Kémoko Camara has abruptly retired from the national team prior to the recent 2-1 friendly loss to Côte d’Ivoire in Chantilly. The man that has anchored the Guinea defense for most of this decade is Bobo Baldé. At 1.91 meters Baldé is an imposing physical presence capable of instilling fear in many an attacker. Back on track
Guinea entered their third match of qualifying poised on the knife’s edge. Having just one point from two games meant that the Syli Nationale were in dire straights.
